Submissions for the 2017 TasICT Awards are now open. Deadline for submission extended to COB 21 April 2017.
TasICT Generations is a free guest lecture program for students between year 7 to 12, that aims to inspire and encourage young Australians to enrol in STEM subjects and improve their digital literacy. Events showcase the local ICT industry as a future employer and provide participants with a deeper knowledge of the skills they will need for the jobs of tomorrow.
To strengthen the connection between education and industry the ‘IT@Work’ program has been developed as Phase 1 of the TasICT Workforce Development Plan. 'IT@Work’ involves brokering real life business challenges to students as part of their study. Launched my Minister Matthew Groom at the 2015 TasICT State Conference, this portal is for Tasmanian businesses to register potential projects.
